While I sit here and start explaining my everyday, I can’t help but realize the wide variety of moments that pass to shape the usual order. It is a story that begins with the first rays of the sun in the morning and ends with the silent meditation of the night. Would you like to accompany me while I open the curtain of my everyday life for you and share the rhythms of my world with you?
- The Early Morning Rush
I would say that my day starts at 6:00 in the morning when my alarm clock goes off gently and I feel its impact on me. I’ve come to discover that a fixed sleeping time is really crucial to have a healthy circadian rhythm. What’s more, studies have demonstrated that people who get up at the same time every day usually sleep better and exhibit better quality of life overall.
I like to have a brief jogging and then I go to my morning routine as being my morning exercise. At this point, I take advantage of the peace and silence to drink a glass of water and reflect quietly. Upon waking up, gulping down a glass of water and thoroughly processing what you are grateful through the Five Minute Journal sets an affirmative note for the day to come. At 6:30 AM, I put on my sneakers, and the first thing on my schedule is a brisk 30-minute jog around the block. Morning exercises not only help me to be energetic, but they also improve my mental concentration all day.
- Fueling Up for Success
Right after finishing a training session, the next priority is starting the day with a nourishing breakfast. I choose for a complete meal of whole grains, protein, and fruits to get me going throughout the day. I have my choice of a bowl of oatmeal that comes with fresh berries and a small portion of Greek yogurt. These two are good blends of complex carbohydrates, antioxidants, and protein, which apart from providing my metabolism an initial push, help me feel satisfied.
- The Productive Morning Hours
I’m at my desk, having 8:30 AM and ready to take on the most arduous tasks of the day. Studies indicate that in the morning cognitive skills are at their peak, so it’s a good time for you to be highly productive. I often carry out Pomodoro Technique, 25-minute work intervals in between off-hand breaks, to make sure that my productivity is kept high.
Mornings, in general, find me busy with writing, data analysis, and strategic planning. It is my considered opinion that unless I devote a piece of my time to the tasks that I consider most important, there will be no progress.
- Midday Break and Rejuvenation
It’s usually around noon when I leave my workplace and go for lunch. With a vow to prepare a healthy meal daily and eat it as mindfully as I can, I check the satisfaction level of hunger all the way through. This minute in the day not only refuels my body but also gives my mind a chance to rebalance.
Thence, I walk through the nearby park. Natural light and fresh air have been proved to enhance mood and increase the performance of the afternoons. It’s a very simple yet powerful method to fight off the afternoon drowsiness that gets to most people post lunch.
- Afternoon Collaboration and Creativity
The afternoon hours nevertheless remain the zone for meetings, team projects as well as effective idea-generating sessions. The fact that my energy levels usually re-generate in the late afternoon makes it a preferable time for interacting with teammates and doing innovative work.
So, to make the sessions more effective, I employ various methods such as mind mapping and the “Six Thinking Hats” method. I follow these structures to keep the conversations concentrated on the issues at hand and to produce results, hence attend to our goals.
- Evening Wind-Down
At the end of work, I then embark on my nighttime schedule. This usually consists of a light morning exercise for the release of the tension accumulated throughout the day or a yoga session. Evening workouts have been proven to significantly improve sleep quality, although they should be completed at least two hours before going to bed.
Supper is an opportunity to connect whether it’s with our children over dinner or with friends through a video conference call. I think the love and caring are really the most important things, so I love the time I get to spend with my family, and the interaction with friends which I see as a different thing from my work
